At the 2018 Issuu Generators Summit in New York City, we encountered some of Issuu’s incredible publishers both on the stage and in the audience.

Speakers at the Issuu Generators Summit
“We sound different on every platform: you have to address the medium. There’s a total different likeness of each platform.” – Mindy Abovitz-Monk, Tom Tom Magazine
Our speaker list included Issuu publishers The Knot, sisterMAG, Tom Tom Magazine and Quoted Magazine. Each of these panelists gave their unique perspectives as digital magazine publishers during their respective panels, reminding us all why digital publishing is so important in 2018.
“[With] Stories, we’ve been able to send people from a traffic perspective to read, but also able to say, ‘Here’s our new issue!’, ‘Swipe up to create your registry!’. There’s so many places, it’s been that spot to catch all versus a post.” – Whitney Little, The Knot
One of the highlights of their conversations: the importance of Stories. We’re happy to announce that we’ll be rolling out an enhanced Issuu Stories experience in early 2019 to give publishers the creative freedom they need while sharing their digital content.
“Stories give the opportunity to go away from the polished pictures of the feed so we can give more behind-the-scenes, more real life between stories.” – Antonia Sutter, sisterMAG
Publishers in the Audience at Generators Summit 2018
During the event, Issuu Publishers were in action, in the room and on Social. Using the tag @Issuu and the hashtag #AlwaysBeTelling, we spotted some of our publishers shouting out on social including Man of Metropolis, Sweet Paul Magazine, and ONE Magazine.
“I was told leaving a conference with one good takeaway meant it was time well spent. At the end of the Generators Summit I left with two handfuls of great ideas and contacts.” – Michael Kusek, Publisher, Different Leaf
We had fascinating conversations with many of the publishers included in our Attendees Stack about how they use Issuu and how we can serve our audience better–– so our publishers can serve their audience better. It was great to hear from so many of you directly.
