Not long ago we released our API documentation that had a new design and location. We’ve now ported the entire Platform and Services site to the same spot. Developers and designers wanting to customize or build on our technology should take a look.
We hope you’ll find everything very useful and easy on the eye. Apart from the new API there are also a few new tricks to try out:
Hyperlink actions
A highly requested feature, you can now add actions inside Issuu publications. Here is the list of link commands you can now add. You simply add a special link to some text or an image inside your publication, before you upload, and Issuu will know what to do once a reader clicks on it. Try linking from an index to another page or clicking a button to trigger the fullscreen mode.
Here’s an example of what it looks like when a link command triggers the share menu:

We put together this demo publication where you can try some of the link actions for yourself.
Feeds
We now also support RSS 2.0 feeds, both as XML and JSONP. Check it out.
Viewer JavaScript API
Finally, we’ve also added a Getting Started guide of how to embed Issuu and control it with links or buttons using JavaScript. It adds more flexibility when you want to create a unique user experience on your website. Check out the new guide or try a demo.
We hope you’ll like the new Platform & Services site hosted at http://issuu.com/services. For questions related to this please use this discussion forum.
