We just released a bunch of exciting stuff on Issuu, and we will be posting about it bit by bit in the next few days. Here is the first part, about the new Home page:
It’s a dashboard, it’s a newsfeed, it’s statistics… We just call it Home and it’s designed to give you an overview of what’s happening with your publications, your friends, your subscriptions, your statistics, your visitors. In short: Everything about you!
Here’s a screenshot, click it to see the full version:

As you can see, your Home is made up from modules that can be moved around on the page using the small arrows in the top left corner. You can also turn off modules by clicking the X. It won’t be deleted, the box but just hides until you add it again by clicking ‘Add / remove module’.
The Home page also has a few important modules from Issuu that show selected features, interesting publications, and recent news.
Changed Navigation
Note that essential pages, such as My Library, now are accessed from your Home page:

The submenu will give you easy access to all the important areas of your Issuu, including Account Settings and Friends. Also note that Sections, which previously was your default landing page after login, has been moved to the submenu.
We hope your new Home will give you a better overview of your Issuu. As always, please leave questions on our support forum, praise on Twitter, and other comments in the … comments. We will follow up with more posts about this release soon.

Hi everybody!!!. Your home page looks terrific, congrats!!!. I’ve been using this site from a long term so I can say that you, fellas, are giving a very exciting service for who need to share documents and presentations and… a long row of etc’s. That’s the reason I love this site, because I can share information in a very safe and atractive way, embedding files in flash version and protecting it from downloading … at less until this day. I’ve noticed that one of many changes you´ve done affects the viewer, adding a print button in the upper menu in full screen. In consequence, if you have some sort of free software installed like PDF Creator, you can get the PDF version of any embeded document even if it was protected from downloading from the very begining. This don’t make any sence. Why disable downloading when I can get a pdf version of any document printing in it from the viewer? Please, could you give to people like me, who don’t have basic programming skills, the possibility of disabling the print button from the viewer? Thanks!!!!
Hi El Residente. I’m glad you like the new Home page!
In answer to your feedback: We’ve always had a print button. You can only print two pages at a time, which is equivalent to a browser screenshot, so from a technical view there’s really no point in disabling it. From a publisher perspective I realize things may look a little different, and I’m sure we’ll add the option to disable print along the way.
Please keep comments on this post related to the Home page, and put everything else in our support forum or Twitter. Thanks!
