Did you know you can link directly to a specific page on Issuu?
Let’s say you want to link to chapter 2 of Lee Child’s Persuader on Issuu. You simply open the publication and navigate to chapter 2. You’ll see that it starts on page 28:

Click the Share button:

And Copy the link:

Now paste it to your friends on Twitter, Google Talk, etc., or in an email. You’ll notice that the page number is simply appended to the URL with /28, and you can of course also do this manually:

Linking To A Specific Page Number In The Styled Viewer
It’s also easy to link to a certain page number in the styled standalone viewer. This time click the Embed button:

Select whichever background color or theme you like. Next, select which page to start on:

Finally choose the ‘Link with styling’ at the top of the page, and copy the link to the left:
![]()
Here’s what it looks like:
You’ll notice the page number once again is appended to the end of the URL, only this time using the format &pageNumber=28. You can also append this manually to the styled URL.
Pretty simple, huh?

Well - not as simple as copying and pasting a URL from a tool bar would be…
Hans, the viewer is an independent part of the browser page, so the URL will not change as you browse the publication. It’s similar to watching a YouTube video, where the URL also doesn’t change.
Clicking Share / Copy is just two clicks and here you’ll get the right page number added to the URL.
I can get neither method to work in an iframe (see below) - it always opens to the cover. This works fine without the frame. Thoughts?

If you are trying to embed Issuu, you should always use our embed code. Just click Embed, style it, and copy the code. Paste it to your site and publish.
I’m afraid that doesn’t improve anything, Martin. That client’s site has been reverted to the pre-Issuu setup now; are you SURE you cannot offer more advice?
