1. How can you plan to create something for a device that was neither released, nor confirmed?
2. I would very much prefer a good desktop application for the existing Tablet PCs with a multi-touch optimized interface. I have a Dell Latitude XT which I love, but a multi-touch e-book reader is something I really miss. The recently released Kindle Desktop is fairly good and definitely multi-touch oriented but it's (at this moment) still a very unbaked product with a weak feature set.

I believe all are viable however for the slickest tablet design and the future I believe apple will have the most complete tablet, computers & distribution network. One thing though we need to finally loose the fake shadowing. We need to loose the fake page flips. If we are designing for a screen we do not want our designs to be alters...

Love love LOVE it! But as some others have said, it'd be really nice to be able to control the order of publications on the shelf.

Developing apps for the already existing devices will be much more versitile than developing for a device that no one owns yet. I was under the impression that the apple tablet will run on a similar OS to the iPhone but I really don't know.

Would be great if you launch Arabic version player, Left to right which will bring in more users from Middle East and Africa. After all Arabic is third highest spoken language in the world, so you should get this done before your above plan.

Seriously? They won't call it the iTablet obviously. Also, that's the best mockup you've seen? It's literally a photo of an iphone with the left and right edges pushed out and the space between the outside 1/3 inch and the center 1/2 inch stretched. I did the same thing with this photo from the iphone page on apple.com in like 1 minute just for this post to show you! Silly. http://i48.tinypic.com/30tq4j9.jpg
